New Athletic Director Ready to Hit the Ground Running

Bob Maloney, a Medford resident and former head of the Medford Teachers Association, spent fifteen years as a physical education teacher before taking the reins as Athletic and Community Schools Director.  He steps into the position after it remained unfilled last year due to budget cuts.

Maloney will begin his tenure with a brand-new gym and bleachers at the high school, under construction right now and part of $3 million in renovations that include an elevator at the Community Schools entrance and other much-needed repairs.
