Sox Star Lowell Shops at Modell’s in Medford

Goes on Sox Gear Shopping Spree for Youth Cancer Patients

Sox 3rd Baseman Mike Lowell

Red Sox Star Mike Lowell, a testicular cancer survivor, stopped by Modell’s Sporting Goods store in Medford Wednesday afternoon to buy Sox gear for the children who benefit from his charitable organization, the Mike Lowell Foundation. The foundation provides resources for youth cancer patients and their families in addition to supporting youth sports programs. Above, Lowell takes a break from his shopping to sign a T-shirt bearing his number. Lowell picked up all kinds of gear for his foundation, including baseball gloves and plenty of Sox shirts and jerseys.
