Friday, October 19:

Cheer on the Mustang Football team as they look for their second straight win- and second of the season- at Malden Catholic at 7PM.

Starting tonight and running throughout the weekend, the Mystic Players put on the musical “Cabaret” at the Chevalier Theatre. Shows are at 8PM Friday and Saturday and 1PM Sunday. Tickets- $18 in advance, $17 for students and seniors, $19 at the door- are available at the Magnificent Muffin and Bagel Shop, 491 High Street.

Saturday, October 20:

Join the Friends of the Mystic River for their 13th Annual Mystic River Fall Clean-up from 9:30AM to 2PM. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and should meet at the Condon Band Shell on Route 16. The Friends will supply gloves, pokers, and bags. Trash and debris will be picked up along the riverbank and nearby fields at selected locations between the Lower Mystic Lake and MacDonald Park. Refreshments provided; Rain date October 27.

Rep. Carl Sciortino (D-Medford) will lead a walk along the Mystic River starting at 11:00AM from the Wild Oats Market parking lot. Rep. Sciortino will discuss the river and plans for improvement and the event is part of WalkBoston’s series of legislator-led walks.

The Archaelogical Exhibit at the Royall House is open from 1PM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday. There’s just two weekends left to catch this exciting exhibit of artifacts from a full-scale archaelogical dig of the historic home’s land.

Grapevine Travelers is hosting a Zinfandel wine tasting from 3PM to 7PM at their wine shop at 18 High Street. Stop by as they sip three different versions of the wine.
