Green Streets Initiative

Going Green Can Save Some Green

The Medford Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Walk/Ride Days as part of a Green Streets Initiative to encourage Medfordites to walk, pedal, or take public transportation. The Walk/Ride Days are on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Several Medford businesses are offering discounts and raffle prizes for customers that forgo their cars for more healthy and environmentally-friendly alternatives- click here for a list of the businesses.

Mystic River Watershed Association Annual Meeting

The Mystic River Watershed Association is holding its Annual Meeting tonight at 6:30PM at the Tufts boat house on the Malden River. The meeting is open to the public. US Environmental Protection Agency Regional Administrator Robert Varney will speak about efforts to restore the Mystic River watershed.
