Red Sox Rally Set for Noon Tuesday

Go Sox!

Medford resident Robert Penta got his Lawrence Road home into the Red Sox spirit for the World Series last week.

The Red Sox and the City of Boston announced today that another “rolling rally” will be held Tuesday through the streets of Boston to celebrate the Sox World Series Win.

The parade begins at noon tomorrow at Fenway Park and the team will ride through the streets of Boston to City Hall plaza on Duck Boats. It will begin at Landsdowne Street, circle Fenway Park, head down Boylston Street past the Boston Common, head left on Tremont Street and then follow Cambridge Street until New Chardon Street, where it will stop near City Hall Plaza.

A flatbed truck carrying the Boston Irish punk band the Dropkick Murphys will also be a part of the parade.

The parade will be similar to 2004, except the boats will not head into the chilly Charles River due to safety concerns.

Over 1 million fans cheered on the Sox in 2004 while the parade made its way through the streets in a steady rain. Tomorrow’s weather is expected to be sunny, clear, and near 60.

The team is expected to land today at 3:30PM at Logan Airport.
