A photograph from Medford’s extensive Civil War photo collection.

Some of Medford’s priceless and extraordinary Civil War photographs are being trotted out for the month of November at the Historical Society to mark the visit of the Blue and Gray Education Society, a Virginia-based Civil War education group.

The exhibit will include photos from the Landscapes of the Civil War travelling exhibit.

Check out the exhibit every Sunday during November at the Medford Historical Society’s 10 Governors Avenue location from 12-4PM, and on the Thursday November 8 from 6PM-8PM. The exhibit will also be open on Thursday, November 29 during the hours of the Victorian Stroll.

The Blue and Gray Education Society is assisting the Medford Historical Society with the cataloguing and scanning of the more than 4,000 photos in the Civil War collection, which will be part of a planned virtual museum.
