Boys Soccer

The Boys’ Soccer team heads into the state tournament tonight with a 7PM game against Chelmsford at Tufts University. Medford, 8-4-5, is the 15th seed among the 24 teams competing in the North Division 1 soccer tourney. Chelmsford, 9-6-3, is seeded 18th. The winner of tonight’s game will head to #2 seed Framingham for a 12PM game on Sunday.

Girls Soccer

The Girls’ Soccer team takes on Westford at 4:30PM Saturday at Westford Academy, weather-permitting. The girls, 10-5-2, are seeded 12th out of 17 teams. Westford, 14-2-2, is seeded 5th. The winner will face either 4th seed Framingham or 13th seed Lexington for a quarter final game TBA.

Co-ed Varsity Cross Country

The Boys and Girls Cross-country teams will have the weekend off and will compete the following weekend in the state meet. The boys finished the regular season with a 5-1 Greater Boston League record while the girls finished 4-2.

Girls Volleyball

The Girls’ Volleyball team heads into the quarter finals of the state tournament when they head to Andover for a 7PM game on Tuesday. Medford, 8-7, is seeded 7 out of 9 teams and Andover is the second seed. The winner of that game will face either 3rd seed Peabody or 6th seed Lexington on Thursday at 7PM, location TBA.

Varsity Football

The Varsity Football team heads to Everett for a 7PM game with the top team in the state. The Mustangs are 2-6 and Everett is 8-0. Medford’s leading scorer is senior Steve Murphy, who has earned 32 points so far this season, including 5 touchdowns.
