Medford junior Phil Galebach capped off an impressive cross-country season with a 4th place finish in Saturday’s state cross-country championships.

Galebach ran an average of 5:01 per mile and covered the 2.9 mile course in 14:32, only 7 seconds behind the top runner and faster than almost 300 other runners that competed that day.

During the fall season, Galebach led the Mustangs to a 5-1 record, along with brother Peter Galebach. While Peter is a senior, Phil will be back for what will likely prove to be another successful cross-country season.
