New York City’s famed Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. The solar-electric powered tree has a local connection- its power system was created by technology from Solectria Renewables, LLC of Lawrence, Massachusetts, which is headed by Arlington High School and MIT graduate James Worden. The “green” tree’s 30,000 LED lights will be illuminated for 42 days during the holiday season.
