Medford Firefighters to Honor Their Own

The Medford Fire Department will honor its own at a ceremony on Wednesday, January 30 at 5:30PM in Mayor Michael McGlynn’s office.

Several firefighters will be honored with the Warren W. Thompson Medal, which is given in recognition for acts above and beyond the call of duty. The award is named for a firefighter who died in the line of duty.

Firefighters receiving the award are Lt. Michael Craven, Firefighter Richard Tetrault, Firefighter Charles Casella, Captain John Small, Firefighter John Rosa, Firefighter Stephen Doherty, Firefighter Richard Murray, Firefighter William Young, Lt. James Brennan, Firefighter Steven Cronin and Firefighter Thomas Murray.

Paul Thompson, Warren Thompson’s son, will assist Medford Fire Chief Frank Giliberti in presenting the awards.
