Record Turnout for Super Tuesday in Medford

Fifty percent of Medford’s 33,605 registered voters turned out in the rain yesterday to cast their ballots in the presidential primary election. Here’s a look at some of the numbers from Super Tuesday:

Elderly Woman Struck, Killed by Train

An elderly woman was struck and killed by a commuter rail train late this morning in West Medford Square.

Garballey Tops Thielman, O’Brien in State Rep Race

Twenty-two year-old Arlington School Committee member Sean Garballey beat the competition in a three-way race in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary for state representative.
According to results compiled by Arlington-Mass.com, Garballey earned 5,741 votes, 420 more than Jeff Thielman’s 5,321 and 4,041 more than Andrew O’Brien’s 1,280.
