If you think you might be hungry at some point on Sunday, be sure not to miss the third annual Greater Medford Chowder Fest Competition and Food Expo at Medford High School.

There will be plenty of food to sample besides soon-to-be award-winning chowders, as many area restaurants participate. Past goodies at the event include pizza from Pizzeria Regina, burritos from Boloco, and pastries from Hoff’s.

The event benefits the Medford Vocational Technical High School Culinary Arts program, whose aspiring chefs always prove to be formidable competition.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children 8 to eighteen years of age, and free for children under 8. The food festival will be held from noon to 3PM in the Medford High School lobby, with a snow date planned for March 9. Contact 781-391-1182 for more information.
