MHS Baseball Coach to Run Summer Clinic

baseball_glove2.pngNew Mustang Head Baseball Coach Nick Tucci is wasting no time establishing a farm team for Medford High School.

The young coach will run a baseball clinic this summer for kids ages 6 to 14 to get them working on key elements of the game.

The first annual Mustang Baseball Summer camp will provide two weeks of intensive training in pitching, hitting, base-running, catching, and fielding, with quality instruction from Tucci, current and former Division 1 college baseball players, and current MHS varsity baseball players.

The camp will run for two sessions at Playstead Park from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. The first session is June 23-June 26 and the second session is June 30-July 3. Each session is $100 per player. Click here to download a registration form.

Tucci, a former high school and college standout, is currently a scout for the Atlanta Braves and a former pitcher for the San Diego Padres.

His fellow instructors include Vin Macone, MHS JV Baseball Coach and former American Legion Baseball Coach, Pete Soteropoulos, former player in the St. Louis Cardinals Organization and 2004 Olympian for Greek National Baseball Team, and Matt Howard, current Division 1 baseball player at the University of Maine.

Some of Tucci’s varsity baseball player will also provide instruction for the young campers.
