Tufts senior Katie Winter has a chance to win $100,000 on College Jeopardy, a spin off of the popular trivia game show for college students.

Winter, 22, of Hershey, Pennsylvania, is the school’s first student to ever appear on the show. And though she taped the show the weekend of April 11, Winter has to remain mum until the two week competition airs on Monday, May 5 and concludes on Friday, May 16.

When asked about her experience by fellow Jumbo Hayden Reich for Tufts E-news, Winter only had this to say:

“Really, you can’t complain about appearing on national TV, being selected to participate in an elite tournament, and walking away with a minimum of $5,000. I will have nothing but the fondest memories of my ‘College Jeopardy!’ experience.”

Winter, who is competing against fourteen other students from across the country for the grand prize, is referring to the $5,000 that those who are eliminated in the first week of the competition receive.

In the first week, each player will appear in one of the five episodes. The winners of each of the shows and the next top four money winners will advance to the semi-finals. Nine semi-finalists will compete in three episodes for a spot in the two-game finals. Semi-finalists will walk away with $10,000, while the second place finisher is guaranteed a minimum of $50,000, and the third place finisher a minimum of $25,000.
