Medford Businesses to “Salute” Veterans
Chamber to Hold Luncheon in Honor of Veterans
The Medford Chamber of Commerce and East Cambridge Savings Bank will hold a special luncheon in honor of veterans on Wednesday, May 21 at Medford City Hall.
Tickets to the lunch are $20 and items needed by men and women serving overseas will be collected. Organizers hope to collect everything from coffee to sunglasses to granola bars to playing cards, among other items the troops desperately need. In addition, Medford elementary school children are creating cards to be shipped those serving in the armed forces.
An Honor Guard and a vocal performance by Amy Jane McCabe are among the entertainment, as well as an opportunity to hear from Medford veterans of World War II and the Iraq War.
