Sen. Jehlen, Staffers Help Out at “Park Serve” Day

Sen. Jehlen and her staffers lend a hand in the Fells

State Senator Pat Jehlen (D-Somerville) and volunteers from her office recently lent a hand in planting trees and building houses for birds and bats during the Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Park Serve Day. The crew helped build two houses for bats, whose appetite for mosquitoes help control the population, near Bellevue Pond in Medford and other locations in the Fells. Jehlen, and Sen. Jehlen. Photo courtesy Corin Parsons.
