Medford’s vibrant local arts scene will be on display again this year when the fourth annual Medford Arts Festival livens up Medford Square on Saturday, September 13.

The festival will take place on the plaza in Medford Square at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and River Street from 11AM to 5PM. More than thirty artists, performers, musicians, and local restaurants are expected to participate in the event.

Performers include R&B singer Jacquie Whitaker, Al Peterson and his band, the Big Easy trio, Jeremy Lyons & the Deltabilly Boys, all-female quartet Porch Party Mamas, four-woman, 2-man acappella band Sonicrush, and acclaimed singer-songwriter Thea Hopkins. Also, “24 Hours”, a local band of Medford youths will play their brand of classic rock for the vendors as they set up.

There will also be several events to keep the kids entertained, including tie-dying T-shirts, sidewalk chalk art, and face-drawing.

The food line-up includes Caffé Baccini of South Medford, Dave & Jerry’s Italian Ices, LaBella Fine Foods of West Medford, and Oliver Deli and Tom Yum Koong of Medford Square.

There will be raffles and prizes donated by generous supporters of the arts! Century Bank of Medford will also be giving away free ice cream.
