Medford veteran Raymond Gordon O’Neal, killed in action during the Korean War, will have a square named in honor of him and his service to the country.

On Wednesday, October 15, family and friends will gather for a dedication ceremony at 5PM at the corner of Boston Avenue and Quincy Street. Several of O’Neal’s friends, including Frank Aronno and Warren Ramirez, will take part in the ceremony. Jasmine Estesse, a Medford High School sophomore, will perform musical selections and the United States Army will be providing an honor guard.

The square will be dedicated by Mayor Michael McGlynn and the Medford Office of Veterans Services. All are welcome to attend the ceremony.
