US Senate Debate Monday Night

Attorney General, Medford Resident Coakley to Debate Democratic Opponents

Attorney General and Medford Democrat Martha Coakley will debate her US Senate opponents in a live, televised debate on Monday, October 26 at 7PM.

The debate will take place at the John F. Kennedy Library in Dorchester and is hosted by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute. It will be moderated by the institute’s president and CEO, Peter Meade.

The debate will air live on Greater Boston stations 2, 4, 5, 7 and NECN on Monday from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Each of the four Democratic hopefuls will be at the debate- Coakley, Celtics owner Stephen Pagliuca, US Representative Michael Capuano, and City Year founder Alan Khazei.

Coakley, the state’s first female Attorney General and the former Middlesex County District Attorney, is running for Senator Ted Kennedy’s former seat. If elected, she would also be the state’s first female US Senator.

A Democratic Primary is being held December 8. The general election for the seat is January 19.
