Call for Art Featuring Medford!

The following announcement is from the Medford Arts Council:

Have you created an image of Medford? Do you want to show it off?

The Medford Arts Council is producing a series of postcards. Each card will have an image of Medford on the front along with our web address (www.medfordartscouncil.org), and information about the Medford Arts Council and the artist’s name on the back.

Deadline: April 30, 2010.

Subject: Anything in Medford, though we’re particularly interested in recognizable landmarks.

Style: Any sort of painting, photograph, illustration, or drawing, as long as it is now a digital file.

Specs: Color digital image at 300 dpi, at least 5.7 inches wide by 3.2 inches tall (larger is ok). The final printed image size will be 5.5 inches wide by 3.1 inches tall, and we need the image to extend beyond those margins so that the cards can be trimmed to size.

Submission fee: None!

Selected artists will receive 50 copies of their card, as well as distribution of their card to thousands of Medford residents, thanks to Mayor McGlynn and funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Send your image to michael@medfordartscouncil.org along with your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Include 1–3 sentences about yourself, and 1–3 sentences about the artwork. You may submit up to 4 images.
