The Medford High baseball team wants you to join them on May 5! Cheer on the Mustangs as they play Malden and test drive a new Ford, with the team receiving $20 for each test drive. Unfortunately the entire team couldn’t fit in the car, only Head Baseball Coach Mike Nestor with captains Chris Salvati, Andrew Ferrazzani, and Tom Flores.

Sentry Ford Lincoln (http://www.therightwaytobuyacar.com) is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Medford community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Medford High School’s Baseball Program. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Medford High on Thursday, May 5th, Sentry Ford Lincoln and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Medford High School’s Baseball Program as well as other sports and music programs.

“There’s nothing extra about extracurricular activities. We know how important these activities are to high school students, and as part of this community, we want to help,” said Brian McGrath, Vice President/General Manager of Sentry Ford Lincoln. “This is why we’re excited to raise money for Medford High School athletics, meanwhile introducing parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality lineup and innovative safety technologies.” The event, which will be held from 2pm to 6pm, will be in conjunction with the Medford High baseball game occurring at Playsted Park on Playsted Road in Medford. It will feature a selection of 2011 Ford and Lincoln vehicles to choose from.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. Locally, this will be the second time Sentry Ford Lincoln has participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program and raised significant money for local high schools. Last fall $6,000 was donated to the MHS football team and band after a successful Drive One 4 UR School event at Hormel Stadium.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, the program gives participants the chance to experience Ford’s exciting new vehicles, from cars like Fiesta, Focus and Fusion to crossovers like Escape and Edge – as well as leading safety technologies.

To participate in the Drive One event in support of Medford High School’s Baseball Program, please visit Playstead Park on Playstead Road in Medford between 2pm and 6pm on Thursday, May 5th.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
