Kiwanians Attend District Convention

The New England District of Kiwanis International recently held the 93rd Annual New England District Convention at Warwick, Rhode Island. Three hundred and nine (309) Kiwanis members and their guests from the six New England states and Bermuda attended. This represented 73 different Kiwanis clubs.

The New England District of Kiwanis is involved with many projects and community programs. Among these is the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute in partnership with the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center. Kiwanians have worked together since 1981 to provide the highest level of expertise available to treat the most seriously injured children.

Kiwanis International and its Service Leadership Programs boast a membership of more than 600,000 men, women, and youth in nearly 16,000 clubs in more than 80 countries and geographic areas. Members of the Kiwanis Family and its Service Leadership Programs volunteer more than 18 million hours and invest more than $107 million in their communities around the world. Approximately 150,000 service projects are sponsored each year.

The Kiwanis Club of Medford meets every Monday at 6:30PM at Bocelli’s Restaurant, 374 Main Street in Medford.
