Busy Weekend in Medford

There are several exciting and different events going on in Medford October 1 and October 2 and three of them happen to be taking place at Riverbend Park, the large open space around the McGlynn and Andrews schools.

On Saturday the annual Harvest Your Energy Festival is taking place at the base of the wind turbine behind the McGlynn School from 1-4PM. There will be live music, educational tables, vendors, and more. If it’s raining the event will be held inside the McGlynn School.

On Sunday all walkers and runners are welcome to participate in the fifth annual Medford Fit for Life 5K Run/Walk. The event is held in loving memory of Medford Police Officer Pat Fahey and proceeds help children in need attend summer camp. Registration is at 9:00AM and the run/walk begins at 10AM. The race starts and finishes behind the McGlynn School and goes around MacDonald Park. Rain or shine!

Be sure to check out the second annual The First Patriots: Rebels at Riverbend Park colonial re-enactment. The event is actually taking place on both Saturday and Sunday from 11:00AM-5:00PM. Local actors will bring history to life, providing a rare glimpse into the 18th century for all visitors.
