Pope John Drama Club Presents ‘A Christmas Carol’

Pope John XXIII High School’s drama students are launching their 2011-2012 season with a creative retelling of Dickens’ timeless holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol. A special adaptation by Janet Allard and Michael Bigelow Dixon features an ensemble cast telling the story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformation from a cruel and miserly curmudgeon to a joyous and generous soul.

A special preview performance for local school students will be offered Thursday, Dec. 1, at 10 a.m.

Public performances will be Friday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2:00pm. The Sunday matinee is a special Family Performance featuring a pre-show appearance by Santa Claus and free admission for families who bring a child age 15 or younger.
