Open House at Springstep for Caterers, Other Vendors

On Tuesday, December 6th, at 4:00pm, Springstep will be giving an Open House Tour to special event vendors interested in catering private events at Springstep’s facility in Medford Square. The tour will focus on the logistics of catering an event at Springstep, address common questions, and provide an introduction to the eligibility requirements for being on Springstep’s list of preferred/recommended vendors.

Although primarily known as a prominent arts center in the community, not many know that Springstep has also hosted hundreds of private events since opening its doors in 2003. Springstep’s private rental program has been extremely successful and is growing. Private rentals have been instrumental in supporting Springstep’s mission-based programming, such as classes in dance, fitness, music and art for adults and youth, a wide variety of weekly and monthly social dances, and an art gallery of rotating exhibits.

“Springstep has unique and beautiful spaces for our students to dance in – it’s only natural that they would double as a venue for weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, fundraisers, and other parties,” says Springstep’s Private Rental Coordinator Sara Libenson. “The space is a great alternative to a traditional hotel ballroom-type setting. It’s a perfect fit for someone seeking a modern, flexible, and vibrant space for their event.”

It is Ms. Libenson’s hope that inviting caterers and event vendors to the Open House Tour on December 6th will lead to mutually beneficial partnerships. With each party generating more business for the other, Springstep may yield yet more rentals to support its growth as an arts center that benefits the community.
