City Council to Consider Polling Location Changes

A request to change the location of three of the city’s voting polls will be before the Medford City Council on Tuesday.

According to the City Council agenda, City Clerk and Chief Election Officer Ed Finn has submitted a request to change the location of three polls, 4-2, 6-1, and 6-2. The change would shift 4-2 from Tufts University’s Gantcher Center to Walkling Court; 6-1 from the Brooks Elementary School to the West Medford Fire Station, and 6-2 from Walkling Court to the Brooks Elementary School.

If the changes are approved they will be in place for the presidential primary in March of 2012.

A complete list of each of the city’s polling locations is available online.

The Council will consider the poll changes during its regular meeting at 7:00PM on Tuesday, December 13. The meeting takes place at Medford City Hall and will be broadcast live on Channel 16.
