‘Classic Diners’ Presentation at Library January 23

The Medford Public Library is hosting a slide presentation on Monday, January 23 at 7:00 PM by Larry Cultrera, a Saugus resident (and Medford native) who has written a book entitled Classic Diners of Massachusetts. This popular book, published by The History Press in October, is currently heading for its second printing. The slide presentation is based on images from his book with some extra scenes from Medford’s “diner” past, according to Cultrera.

Cultrera has been researching diners and their history for over thirty-one years, although his interest can be traced to his childhood. He has been writing a popular blog called “Diner Hotline” for fpur years, which he says evolved from a long-running column he wrote for the Society for Commercial Archeology’s Journal magazine.
