Snow, Rain Expected in Medford Wednesday, Thursday

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Medford and the area until 6PM Thursday for a storm that is expected to bring 5-8 inches of snow. Snow began falling in Medford early Wednesday afternoon. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, the total snow accumulation for the afternoon is anticipated to be between 1-2 inches while a mix of snow and rain will bring another 2-4 inches overnight. More snow is forecast for Thursday and another 2-4 inches could blanket the area. Above, snow on Wednesday afternoon began sticking on non-paved surfaces.
