Car Crashes into Tree on Lawrence Road

A car crashed into a tree on Lawrence Road on Tuesday afternoon. An unidentified male driver from Maine was injured in the crash. The accident occurred around 3PM at the corner of Lawrence and Summit Road, directly across from Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Tire marks and debris on the scene made it appear the car swerved up onto the sidewalk and took out a hydrant and recycling bin before crashing into the tree across the street. It is unclear at this time what caused the accident.
