City Council to Hold Budget Hearing May 30

The Medford City Council will kick off the FY2013 budget process with the first hearing on Wednesday, May 30.

The Council will meet in a Committee of the Whole at 5:30PM in Room 207 at Medford City Hall. Proposed budgets for the following departments will be reviewed: Law, Retirement, Weights and Measures, Human Diversity, Information Technology, Community Development, City Clerk, Election/Registration, Legislative, and Executive.

Mayor Michael McGlynn, Budget Director Stephanie Muccini Burke, and the appropriate department heads have been asked to attend the meeting.

The Council’s regular meeting is taking place on Tuesday, May 29 at 7PM at City Hall. There will also be a Committee of the Whole meeting on Tuesday prior to the regular meeting at 6:30PM. The Council is discussing the appointments of Judy Beatrice and James Tarani as Commissioners of Trust Funds.
