Bestsellers Cafe Open Again
|Bestsellers Cafe is once again open for business after a five year hiatus due to construction on the building where the popular bookstore/cafe is located in Medford Square.
Owner Rob Dilman alerted the community through a post on Bestsellers’ Facebook page on Wednesday:
“Yes, the permits are in order, books have been discounted, food has been ordered, new books (plenty) have arrived….and the staff are anxious to meet everyone and welcome the community, too!”
The official grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12. Bestsellers will be open seven days a week.
An open sign hasn’t been in Bestsellers’ front window for five years.
Owner Rob Dilman stands by new French doors that open up to the Mystic River behind the cafe.
Staffers Tina Nguyen, PJ DeGiovanni, Audrey Stanwood, Marilyn Cooper, and Carol Huen.
Many books that have been in storage for years have been discounted, said Dilman.
Bestsellers features colorful jewelry made by Ugandan women for Project Have Hope.
Tempting treats from JannaBee’s of Medford are among the several different pastries offered.
