Be a 2nd Grade Math Tutor in Medford Public Schools

Cynthia Ezeani, site coordinator for the 2nd Grade Math Tutor Program at the Columbus Elementary School last year, and Divya Sharma, a Medford High School student who tutored a 2nd grader at the Columbus.

Medford School Volunteers is recruiting volunteers from the community to be 2nd grade math tutors for the 2012-13 school year. Volunteers will be matched with a 2nd grader who could use a little boost in math skills and confidence around math topics. During the tutoring sessions, math concepts are reinforced through practice and games. Sessions are scheduled for 30-45 minutes, two times a week.

Sign up now to join us for a volunteer training session in October. All community members are encouraged to apply – volunteers from last year included college and high school students, senior citizens, working professionals, and parents. For additional information, please send an email to medfordvolunteers@gmail.com.
