Updated 8:35PM Sunday, October 20- Video now available

The 14th Dalai Lama visited the Kurukulla Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies on Tuesday afternoon. He spoke to a crowd of nearly 2,000 people on Tuesday, starting off in English before speaking at length in Tibetan. Community members lined the streets to get a glimpse of the Dalai Lama, who arrived shortly before 2PM. Many Medford residents were able to secure tickets to the event, which was private but broadcast live on www.madeinmedford.com and on a large screen on Logan Avenue. The Dalai Lama first visited the Kurukulla Center, located on Magoun Avenue, in 2003. This time he was accompanied by Tibetan Prime Minister Lobsang Sangye, whose family lives in Medford.
