Gov. Patrick Endorses Rep. Garballey

Governor Patrick and Representative Garballey

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, a Democrat, has endorsed incumbent State Representative Sean Garballey. Rep. Garballey, an Arlington Democrat whose district includes part of Medford, is being challenged by Arlington Republican Joseph Monju.

Governor Patrick released the following statement:

“To move forward with our ambitious agenda of creating jobs, closing the achievement gap, lowering the cost of health care, and ending youth violence, I need realpartners in the legislature – State Representative Sean Garballey is one of those partners. Whether through his leadership in the areas of public transportation and investing in our infrastructure, or his efforts to support the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund to ensure a skilled workforce and much more, Sean has shown his commitment to the people of Medford and Arlington, and to the people of the Commonwealth. I enthusiastically endorse his candidacy for re-election, and look forward to a continued partnership with him in the days ahead.”
