Medford, Malden to Meet for 125th Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving the Medford and Malden football teams will take the field against each other for the 125th time, a milestone anniversary. Depending on who you ask, it’s the third oldest high school football rivalry in the country. This year Malden is hosting the annual classic at 10:00AM at MacDonald Stadium. The Mustangs haven’t won since defeating the Golden Tornadoes on their home turf in 2006. Malden leads the series with sixty wins to Medford’s fifty-four. There have been ten ties. This year will be the first time the game will be played on artificial turf, with both cities actually renovating their respective stadiums this season.

The 125th Thanksgiving game will be broadcast live online so fans can tune in from all over. The live broadcast will be available on www.madeinmedford.com and on the Malden Access TV website.
