White Christmas a Possibility

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service says a couple inches of snow could arrive just in time for Christmas.

A “light snowfall” is anticipated to fall Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. The snow will hang around until the early afternoon before transitioning into a wintry mix.

The NWS says a “stronger” storm system will likely affect the area Wednesday and Thursday though “much uncertainty still remains.”

The snow is expected to begin falling late Monday night. It appears just enough will fall to appease traditionalists while not completely aggravating those who would rather enjoy a snow-less winter.

December 1st was the last time snow fell in Medford. Only enough fell to coat trees and unpaved surfaces, such as the maple tree in the picture above.
