Medford Little Leagues Combine Efforts

- Allison Goldsberry

Medford’s three Little League programs are combining efforts as much as possible as they wait for Little League International to render a decision on a proposed merger.

According to Medford National President Dave Barnes, the Medford National, West Medford Hillside, and North Medford Little Leagues have been holding joint online and mail-in registrations. The leagues have also launched a central site for all Medford Little League information, www.MedfordLittleLeague.com.

The three leagues submitted a merger plan in January. They hope the merger will be in effect for the 2013 season, and currently are “proceeding as if we are one league,” said Barnes.

The leagues are holding in-person sign up’s on Saturday, February 9th and Saturday, February 16th from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the South Medford Fire Station (Zero Main Street).
