The Medford Public Schools will be closed on Friday, according to a notice on the website. All afterschool programs and extracurricular activities have also been cancelled for Friday.

A snow emergency has been declared in Medford as of 8:00AM Friday until further notice, according to information released by Mayor Michael McGlynn’s office.

On Friday night, snow could be falling as much as two to three inches per hour.

On Wednesday afternoon Medford Police sent out a reminder message that odd/even parking is in effect until April 1. Parking is allowed on the event side only on secondary roads, unless otherwise posted. The message said further information will follow about parking if a snow emergency is declared by the city.
