School Mural Project Seeks Donations

River Life is a mural project for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades. David Fichter, nationally known artist, and Andrews art teacher Peter Gallagher, will help students design and paint a 12-panel mural depicting the history and habitat of Medford’s Mystic River. The 8’ x 52’ mural will be mounted on the exterior wall of the Andrews Middle School.

The Andrews has received $6,750 in grants, but we need to raise additional funds. We are hoping that Andrews School parents, community residents and local businesses will see this as a great opportunity to help the school and support public art in Medford.

Please help us by making a donation in any amount. The project is now underway, and we very much need to make our goal. All donations are tax deductible. Every donor will be acknowledged at and invited to River Life’s unveiling in May 2013.
