MHS Track Team Ends Season on High Note

- Allison Goldsberry

The Mustang indoor track season ended on a positive note, with members of both the boys and girls teams performing well at the Eastern Massachusetts Division 1 State competition this weekend.

Senior captains Christina Lynch and Nate Clement both earned respectable places in the shot put. Lynch’s 33’6″ toss was good enough for ninth place while Clement’s 44’10″ throw left him with a twelfth place finish, according to Coach Jack Dempsey.

The Lady Mustang 4 x 200 meter relay team “came up huge” with a season best time of 1:58.07, an improvement of over three seconds off their previous best. The team finished thirteenth out of thirty teams. The quartet was made up of sophomores Korey O’Rourke-Crowley, Bailey Flynn, Patricia Healion, and Olivia Allison.
