It appears winter stubbornly refuses to leave despite the fact March is well underway.

There have been varying forecasts over the last few days and even hours, but it appears Medford and the area will receive a few inches of snow overnight.

According to the National Weather Service the snow will be the wet, heavy kind.

A snow emergency has been declared until further notice as of midnight. That means no parking on designated emergency arteries and parking on the even side only on other streets.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Medford and until 1PM Friday.

A Wind Advisory has also been issued. Gusts as high as fifty miles per hour are anticipated.
