McGlynn State of the City Speech Highlights Diversity, Community Projects

On Wednesday Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn, the state’s longest-serving Mayor, delivered a “State of the City” speech for the first time since 2001.

Typically Mayor McGlynn lays out his broad community vision during his inauguration speech and keeps the community updated on the city’s projects and initiatives with press conferences and announcements.

During his State of the City speech, the Mayor showcased the city’s diverse population and discussed major projects, including school improvements, energy efficiency programs, and public safety.

Mayor McGlynn, first elected in 1987, is in his thirteenth consecutive two-year term.
