Medford Patriot’s Day Celebration April 15th

The city of Medford will hold its annual Patriot’s Day celebration on Monday, April 15.

The event kicks off with a POW/MIA flag raising ceremony at Medford City Hall at 10AM.

Next, participants walk over to the historic Salem Street Burial Ground for the Patriot’s Day Service at 10:15AM.

For the last part of the event, participants head over to Gaffey Funeral Home on High Street in Medford Square to await Paul Revere. A reading of “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow follows.

Medford is part of the route of Paul Revere’s infamous ride to warn colonists of the coming of the “regulars.”

Patriot’s Day recognizes the anniversary of the first battles of the American Revolution.
