MHS Baseball Team Shuts out Stoneham

The Medford High School boys varsity baseball team earned a 7-0 road win over Stoneham on Tuesday. Senior John Lavoie pitched a complete game shut out, said assistant coach Ryan Kozul. Lavoie, pictured above, allowed only four hits and struck out eight. Kevin Andrew was 1-2 with an RBI, Ryan Covelle was 1-3 with two runs scored, Chris Hayes contributed an RBI, and Sean Doncaster, Dave Center, and Tyler McLean all had one hit and one run scored. Medford is on the road against Somerville and Malden on Wednesday and Friday before beginning a long home stand on Monday, April 22 with Cambridge.
