Special State Primary for US Senate Tues., Apr. 30th

On Tuesday, April 30th a special state primary will be held to narrow the field of candidates seeking to fill former US Senator John Kerry’s vacant seat.

Two Democrats are vying for their party’s nomination, Congressman Ed Markey and Congressman Stephen Lynch.

Three Republicans seek the GOP nomination, veteran Gabriel Gomez, Plymouth County District Attorney Michael Sullivan, and State Representative Daniel Winslow.

Polls will open in Medford on Tuesday at 7AM and close at 8PM.

A list of polling locations is available on the city website.

The state also has a website to help voters determine where to vote by entering an address.

One Democratic and one Republican candidate will advance to compete in the state primary, which is scheduled for June 25.
