The Medford Post 45 baseball team earned a 10-5 comeback win over Watertown on Wednesday night.

Medford’s offense came alive in the fourth inning with hits from Justin Alley and Mark Fusco and a sac fly from Shawn Doyle cutting the lead to 5-4, according to Coach Ryan Kozul. In the fifth inning Medford added four more runs to top Watertown 8-5. John Lavoie tied the game with a sac fly and then Fusco hit the game-winning three-run triple to the gap in right center. Dave Center then followed up with a towering two run home run in the sixth inning that led to a final 10-5 score.

Fusco pitched a complete game to earn the win and improve his record to 3-1.

Kyle Boudrias and Jake Porrazzo had two hits apiece while Tim Conroy scored three runs and Kevin Andrew scored two.

Wednesday’s big win followed a tough playoff loss to Sudbury on Tuesday. The team fell behind six runs and despite mounting a strong comeback that could have tied the game Sudbury managed to hold onto its lead.

Medford is currently 10-3 heading into a road game in Newton on Saturday and a home game with Natick on Sunday at 2PM.
