Summer Harvest Cooking Workshops at the Columbus School

Columbus School Garden Club presents: Summer Harvest Cooking Workshops

Open to all ages, free of charge, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

Location:
Columbus School Vegetable Garden, 37 Hicks Avenue, Medford

Time: 10am – 11:30am

Wednesday, August 14: Herbal Oils and Vinegar

Harvest some fresh herbs at the garden and make a batch of herbal oil or herbal vinegar. We’ll be using a mortar and pestle to crush herbs. Bring a clean jar if you have one, or we will have jars that you can use.

Wednesday, August 28: Salsarific!

We will make fresh salsa with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and cilantro harvested from the garden, then try it out on tortilla chips. In case of rain, the workshops will be canceled.
