Fall wrap-up

Eventful season of fall ball. Crisp fall weather, lots of games, lots of fun! Nearly 200 players on 15 teams lived the excitement of Fall Baseball in Medford.

Have you driven by the fields lately? MLL has been hard at work on Barros (pictured), Santoro, Columbus and Gillis grading, sodding and seeding the fields so they will be in top shape for 2014. We are also improving the fences, dugouts, and more over the winter.

Many thanks to our friends at R&S Landscaping, Pat Kierce and his crew at Kierce Landscaping for their help with our parks!

Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped with fall clean-up to winterize the fields and concession stands after fall ball.

January 31st — early registration deadline

Officers

After an eventful year of coordinating a merger, and managing all things baseball, Dave Barnes stepped down as President of Medford Little League. Many thanks to Dave for his tireless efforts and for fostering a culture of working together for a unified league.

Alysia Rourke takes over the reins as the Medford Little League president. Most of you know Alysia who has been involved with North Medford little league for years. In 2013, Alysia coached a team, ran concessions, was on the fundraising committee, and helped with all things MLL.

As anyone involved in an organization knows, it can only be as strong as its volunteers. In September, we elected new officers. Most of the officers served in the inaugural year of MLL, but we have a few new members of the board who will be working hard for you in 2014. The complete slate is listed on our website.

We’ll have more updates and current information on our website and on Facebook, so if you’re interested in following Medford Little League, come visit us there too!
