Lady Mustang Hockey Team Beats Winthrop for 1st Time in Team History

For the first time in program history the Medford High girls varsity hockey team beat Winthrop. The Mustangs, in their 10th season, topped Winthrop, 2-1, on home ice on Saturday. Medford’s three captains, Brittani Lanzilli, Adrienne Porrazzo, and Marissa Williams led the offense, according to Assistant Coach Josh Glionna. Lanzilli and Williams both scored a goal and Porrazzo had two assists. Mustang freshman goalie Trisha MacLean made 25 saves, including many in the final few minutes.
