Girl Scouts Present Middlesex Sheriff’s Office with Boston Peace & Healing Ribbons

Members of Cadette Girl Scout Troop 60240 recently presented Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian with handmade Boston Peace + Healing Ribbons.

Members of the Danvers-based troop constructed over 6,000 ribbons as part of their Silver Award Project and presented 100 to the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office. Ribbons were also presented to the Danvers Police Department, soccer players throughout Essex County and to 750 runners representing Dana Farber in this year’s Boston Marathon.

“I want to thank the members of Cadette Girl Scout Troop 60240 for the handmade Boston Peace + Healing Ribbons and for recognizing the work deputies did in the hours and days following last year’s Boston Marathon bombing,” said Sheriff Koutoujian. “These ribbons will proudly be worn by deputies and support staff assisting with Marathon security this Patriots’ Day.”
